Keeps Tots On Their Toes
For those little riders just learning the basics of balance and coordination, the Kixi Kix scooter is ready to roll. Its stand alone, three-wheel design and extra-wide, slip resistant deck give new riders the extra stability they need to build their confidence as well as their riding skills.
Tilt-To-Turn
The Kixi Kix features our patented “Tilt-To-Turn” feature that helps youngsters learn how to steer. The intuitive Tilt-To-Turn system helps kids quickly get a feel for the relationship between tilting and steering by gently curving left and right and limiting the turning angle to prevent sharp turns that could cause falls. This helps kids quickly develop the steering skills and confidence to move on to the standard handlebar based steering of scooters or bikes.
How To: Steer The Kixi Kix
The Kixi Kix uses our patented “Tilt-To-Turn” feature to help first time riders master their balance and steering skills before moving up to more advanced rides like the Kixi Mixi or standard two-wheel scooter. In this short guide, we’ll break down how the Tilt-To-Turn feature works to get your little one ready for a lifetime of outdoor fun on wheels. The Tilt-To-Turn feature uses kids natural instinct to lean and push in the direction they want to go as an introduction to the basic steering mechanics of handlebars. The instant response to the leaning of their body and pushing of the handlebars allows kids to quickly connect their actions to the action of the Kix scooter and, over time, learn how different pressure and angles change the trajectory of their turn. The Kix also limits the turning radius of the scooter to prevent kids from turning too sharply, which can cause the scooter to stop abruptly and, in doing so, the child to fall. Together, these features create a simple, intuitive system for teaching kids the fundamentals of steering and balance needed for more advanced rides. Once mastered, they’re ready to move on to a scooter or ride with a standard handlebar setup, like the Kixi Mixi or even the Balance Bike. Recommended for ages 3 and older and will support a rider up to 45 pounds. The buyer and rider of the Razor scooter are responsible for knowing and obeying all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the riding and use of scooters.
