A racing legend and trendsetter, Dan Gurney was the first of three drivers that won races in multiple racing types, including Formula One, Indy and Nascar. The Boss 302 was initially created to outperform Camaro in Trans-Am races, the Boss 302 came close in ’69, but finally did win the Trans-Am Championship in 1970.
